** The mountain always keeps me coming back for more. I’ve experienced the best things in life on the mountain as well as, extreme events that almost wiped me off the surface of earth (Literally). I’m still here doing what I love. One of the reasons I climb and push for the summit is because I feel closer to God when I’m above higher ground. It creates a deeper connection I have with Mother Nature. It’s the ultimate high and I want to climb even higher.
Mount Shasta is a potentially active volcano at the southern end of the Cascade Range in Siskiyou County in the U.S. state of California. At an elevation of 14,179 feet (4321.8 m), it is the second-highest peak in the Cascades and the fifth-highest in California.
Together as a team we showed up at 6 a.m. in the morning ready to conquer any task that was put in our path. It all started with a brick. Why a brick and what purpose does it serve? Well let me explain, this brick is not your ordinary type of brick it’s a motivational type of brick. Everyone was instructed to bring one and write a motivational quote on it. When the going got tough, the quote on the brick is what helped us move beyond that moment and sparked a motivational flame within to carry on with our head held high as a team. At the end of this workout an M.V.P. brick was given out to the person who gave it 110%. That person was our 6 year old Ben. These workouts are targeted toward all fitness levels and most importantly to our youth the next generation. With that said, I hope to see y’all at the next workout with your kiddos.
